I know, I know

Posting on a regular basis is a thing. I get it.

It's also tough! There's a lot going on in the world, and keeping up with a blog is generally not the main thing for this guy. But I will log in every once in a while and post an update.

I'm working on an ancestry project which you can check out on the Big Book page. And, I'm revising the format and content on the companion blogs Industrial Road Living and The Farm at Hawk Haven... primarily because we no longer live on Industrial Road or at The Farm. Becky and I retired in June of 2024 and are being grandparents to our St. Louis boys. And, yes, there are plans to eventually make it to the Hudson River Valley in New York so that we'll be closer to the NYC kids and grands.

But we're busy here. I'm teaching some online courses through Southwestern Christian University and Becky and I both play in the band occasionally at Journey West County. Nate and I play with the Town and Country Symphony Orchestra (violin and cello respectively) which is a pretty salty group for a community orchestra.

And there's The Garden. No, not an extension of life on the farm. Head on over to the Mission Friends page and click on the link. Becky and I go over once every week or two to tend and weed the flower beds.

It was especially wonderful to have the entire Roman clan gathered in upper New York City this past weekend for the nuptials of Joshua and Anna-Luisa. Everyone, along with her parents, shared a great AirBnB in Newburgh and partied across the river at a venue in Beacon. A great time was had by all!

There ya go. OU starts its football season tonight, not much to look forward to. The Thunder won the National Championship this year, rah! TTFN!
